I don't want to talk about Torchwood anymore. I really don't. But before I stop, I hear RTD is coming to the US now? So while it's not for sure, it's looking less and less likely there will be a 4th series. Then again, the ratings were really good, so who knows. I don't want there to be, but it doesn't matter. If there is, I probably won't be watching anyway. Moving on... After the crap of the last couple days (*glares at TW even though I'm not talking about it*), I was in great need of a fun, colorful, ass-kicking show and guess what I found - Soul Eater. Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a "Death Scythe" and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch.I'm only on episode 16 out of 51 (I watched 12 eps yesterday), but so far I'm actually liking all the characters. My favorite favorites are probably Maka, Soul, Death the Kid, and Stein. But like I say, they're all great. Death the Kid is hilarious though. He's like Niles Crane, but worse. If things aren't perfectly symmetrical, he has a nervous breakdown. He'll leave in the middle of fighting just to make sure that the toilet paper is folded into a point or that a frame in his house isn't leaning too much to one side <3 He's so badass, he shoots with his pinkies. And I love the friendships. This show is all about technicians and weapons fighting together and making each other stronger. They have to trust each other completely and get their souls in sync. I even have a bit of a ship - Soul/Maka. They are just too freaking cute. Anyway, I just wanted to talk about something that wasn't depressing. Here's the first opening. Christopher Heyerdahl: He is charming and funny and entertaining and funny and brilliant and FUNNY! :D His first talk was tonight and there were lots of questions about Sanctuary and Supernatural and, of course, SGA. Even I got to ask my question (about him getting back into character for Halling after not playing him for so long). I know Chris hasn't done alot of cons so far, but he's a natural. Also, it remains true that nobody can talk about Joe Flanigan without doing the voice ;) Robert Picardo and Ethan Phillips: They did their House Calls skit and they are HILARIOUS! Also, they kept cracking each other up ;) I kept laughing start to finish. I'm interested to see how they do for their talk (because I'm sure it'll be just as entertaining). Tomorrow morning is my picture with Chris, Rachel, and Jason. Chris is VERY tall and so is Jason. Rachel's a bit taller than me. I'm going to be a short person in the land of giants ;) Also, Kimberly and I just finished watching the finale of Torchwood. ::sigh:: Let's focus on the happy! Chris! Bob! Rachel! Ethan! Jason! FUN TIMES! I bought so much stuff today. The SGA Season 3 and 4 guides, the SPN Season 1, 2, 3, and 4 guides, the unauthorized SPN essay book, a ton of Lorraine's art, 2 pictures to get signed, and...I can't remember if that's all, but that was a good day's work for con ;) It might be everything I'm buying for the entire time, but we shall see. CON! \o/ feeling:  frustrated
